While Eurong Resort offers a convenient alternative to camping with some charming features, it shows signs of age and requires significant improvements. The location is fantastic, close to the beach, and the laid-back vibe is enjoyable. However, the amenities and dining options fell short, leaving much to be desired. Overall, it's a decent option if you're looking for a simple stay, but don't expect luxury or gourmet meals.

Our stay at Eurong was delightful, especially in the spacious and clean 2 Bedroom Apartment where we had everything we needed. The food at Mackenzies was quite good, though the dinners could use some creativity. The staff interactions were generally positive, but improvements in service could enhance the overall experience. The prices could be a concern for those on a budget, but the bakery was a nice bonus during our stay.

The resort is spacious with a decent variety of food options, but it feels quite outdated and desperately needs modernization. The meals were hit or miss, with some being acceptable while others were nearly inedible. Prices at the store are exorbitant, so it’s important to be prepared. Overall, it’s not a bad place to stay if you come with the right expectations, but be ready for some compromises.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms are clean and spacious but feel very worn. There was no sign of cleaners during our stay, and the absence of air conditioning made it somewhat uncomfortable.
Service

Service was decent, but I found the staff somewhat dismissive, especially regarding specific dietary requests.

I had a wonderful time at this resort, perfectly positioned for exploring all of Fraser Island’s iconic sites. The big 2-bedroom apartment offered incredible views of the pool and beach, making it a great space for our family. However, I wish the dining options were better organized, especially during peak hours. Overall, it’s a fantastic place for a family getaway, but some improvements in dining service would be beneficial.

Rooms
10.0
The two-bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, and had fantastic views of the pool and beach. The kitchenette was fully equipped, which we appreciated for preparing our meals.
Service

While the overall service was good, the dining staff seemed overwhelmed at times, resulting in slow service during breakfast and lunch.
Location

The resort is ideally located for beach access and is a great base to explore Fraser Island’s sights. It’s just a stone’s throw from the beach.
Dining
6.0
The dining options, especially the buffet, had great potential but fell short during peak times with long wait times and food running out quickly.
Facilities
9.0
The lagoon pool was a big hit with the kids after a long day at the beach. The resort also includes a bakery and beach bar, which are convenient.

I had a wonderful stay at the resort with great amenities and friendly staff who went above and beyond to ensure I had a good time. The bakery and general store were lifesavers, providing everything I needed during my stay, including delicious pastries. However, the rooms could use some updating, and I did feel a bit cold at night, which was not ideal.

Rooms
